Full Circle’s mission today is the same as it was when Andrew Stout and Wendy Munroe started farming on five acres at the base of Mt. Si in 1996: an effort to contribute to our community through hard work, a passion to nurture families, and a responsibility to steward the land.
Now, in 2011, it’s not only about our neighborhoods’ access to good food. Our global food system is broken and we have the opportunity and the responsibility to help fix it.
We are not doing it alone. We answer the call for easy access to clean, certified organic food grown without harmful toxins, genetically modified seeds or grains—food that is both safe and flavorful. Our members are our backbone, much like they were when we began as a successful Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. And our growing network of farmers and producers is a testament to this desire for change.
This is what took our Farm-to-Table program to Alaska, and this is what leads us to work with more exceptional farmers and food producers. From ranchers without the marketplace to share their exceptional meats (but with generations of sustainable farming experience), to established growers flying under the radar when it comes to their mission and story (but nonetheless, intent on quality and integrity).
We are not just one farm, or one family. We are a growing community of concerned farmers, producers, and eaters that wants to change our food system and believe that together – we can.
