Organic produce farm box delivery throughout the Bay Area

South San Francisco, CA (June 4, 2012) – Full Circle, one of the West Coast’s leading organic produce delivery services, today announced it has expanded its farm box program to include the Bay Area. Starting today, Full Circle will deliver local organic produce farm boxes to communities in California as far north as San Rafael, east to Concord and south to San Jose.

“We’re working with local growers and communities to change our food system to be more sustainable,” said Andrew Stout, founder and Chief Farmer of Full Circle. “Full Circle has worked with a network of California farms for close to a decade and we are excited to now provide their farm-fresh local organic produce directly to Bay Area members. We are committed to fixing our broken food system one community, one member, one meal at a time.”

Established in 1996, Full Circle operates a 400-acre organic farm in Carnation, WA and has worked for nearly a decade with some of the best organic, small and family farms and producers in the Northwest and California. In October 2011, Full Circle acquired Eating With the Seasons, a Bay Area organic produce delivery company, and is expanding that presence to serve even more Northern California members. By partnering with other growers and producers who share its values, Full Circle provides robust, fully customizable farm-to-table farm boxes to members year-round.

“We’re excited to see Full Circle expand in the Bay Area,” said Matt Dillon, Director, Seed Matters. “We work on promoting and preserving seed diversity – our shared heritage and a key building block of sustainable agriculture. Companies like Full Circle will help our shared mission by working with like-minded growers and making it easy for people to access this wonderful local bounty.”

Each week, Full Circle brings the best in farm-fresh, locally-sourced, organic and sustainably grown fruits, veggies and all-natural artisan products directly to members. Full Circle connects people to their food and supports local food systems, all the while making it easy to save time and money. To Full Circle, success means both strong local farms and the growth of sustainable, organic agriculture throughout our nation and the world. All while people enjoy the good food life.

Leading organic produce delivery service expands Northern California presence with donations to local food banks and giveaways
Prizes include personal chef dinner party with Jordan’s Kitchen and dinners at Chez Panisse, Greens Restaurant

San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA – Previewing its upcoming expansion in the Bay Area, Full Circle, a leading organic produce delivery service, today launched Dinner’s On Us, a sweepstakes celebrating local food and community. The Facebook‐based sweepstakes is designed to support Bay Area food banks while introducing Full Circle’s local & organic produce delivery service to consumers in the greater Bay Area.

“Full Circle believes changing the food system starts at home, and one of the easiest ways to make a difference is to think carefully about how your food is grown and where it comes from,” said Andrew Stout, founder and CEO of Full Circle. “We’ve been working with dozens of California’s top organic farmers for nearly a decade now, so we are very excited to be expanding our delivery service in the Bay Area.”

Established in 1996 in Carnation, WA, Full Circle provides local and organically grown farm fresh produce directly to over 18,000 members throughout Washington, California, Idaho and Alaska. Full Circle joined forces with Eating With the Seasons, a Bay Area organic food delivery concern, in October 2011, and will soon be expanding that presence to serve even more Northern California customers.

Through its Dinner’s On Us Sweepstakes, for every “Like” received on its Facebook page Full Circle will donate one pound of organic produce to the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks, and the Alameda County Community Food Bank. In addition to supporting food banks, entrants will also be eligible to win one of the following:

• Grand Prize – A gourmet dinner for eight prepared in‐home by award‐winning chef Jordan Schachter of Jordan’s Kitchen (a $2,000 value)
• 2nd Prize – Dinner for two at Chez Panisse or Greens Restaurant (10 winners)
• Early Bird Giveaway – The first 1,000 people to enter the sweepstakes will receive two free boxes of Full Circle organic produce

The Dinner’s On Us Sweepstakes is open now at facebook.com/FullCircleFarms. The sweepstakes ends at midnight on June 3, 2012.

“We are thrilled to see Full Circle extending their service in California and becoming an even bigger part of our expanding Bay Area organic food community,” said Jordan Schachter, executive chef and founder of Jordan’s Kitchen in San Francisco, CA. “As a chef dedicated to local, seasonal ingredients, I’m doing all I can to promote healthy and sustainable food systems and Full Circle is doing the same.”

Full Circle has expanded beyond the traditional CSA (community support agriculture) model. The company now works with a large and growing network of family, local and regional farms to provide farm‐fresh organic produce and artisanal groceries to members year‐round. Grassfed meat, cage‐free eggs, no‐hormone milk, and more can be added to any weekly delivery. In addition to serving neighborhood drop sites, Full Circle also provides weekly home produce delivery direct to member doorsteps in most service areas.
