Julie O’Brien and Richard Climenhage (co-owners) wanted to create foods that were healthy, nutrient dense and tasted great. One year later the company was formed with a focus on “naturally fermented foods”. Through fermentation various foods unlock even more nutrients and create living enzymes making them more available for digestion and absorption by the body.
All Firefly Kitchen products are made with organic ingredients as well as being gluten, soy and dairy free. Firefly Kitchens fermented foods are made with mostly local, when seasonally available, and always organic produce. Their foods are naturally preserved without heat or vinegar and contain tons of natural enzymes and healthy bacteria.
