T & D Willey FarmsT & D Willey Farm was started by Tom and Denesse Willey. They farm a 75 acre patch of the Central San Joaquin Valley in Madera, California. The San Joaquin is in the southern half of California’s Great Central Valley. They have been farming since 1980 and certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers since 1987.

They have three children; Liz is twenty-eight, teaching in the S.F.Bay Area and working on her Masters in Biology. Patrick is twenty-one, currently studying Journalism and Art at Fresno City College. Mike is making applications to several small liberal arts colleges, looking forward to moving far, far away from home.

Watered by snow melt streams from the Sierra Nevada, the rich alluvial soils of this region make up the most productive farmscape on earth. They follow the four seasons of the mild Mediterranean climate to produce a year-round palette of bountiful vegetable production. Tom and a staff of ten grow everything from Artichokes to Rutabagas using the latest in biological fertility systems. Denesse manages the hand-harvest, sales and shipping with her permanent staff of 55 and sometimes the help of as many as 40 additional people.

T & D Willey Farm is proud to farm organically and to be a part of a growing network of sustainable farms providing healthy choices for your table.
