4 Ways to Make the Most of Your Full Circle Membership
Being a member of Full Circle means that you get the best produce in season hand-picked and delivered to your door or pickup site. In order to make the most of your order, here are a few simple things you can do that will maximize your enjoyment and value:
- Always view your box contents for the coming week – Be on the look out for the Fresh This Week email, this will let you know that your box contents are ready for viewing and modification. Just looking over the contents of your box will give you some ideas, if you need a few more, view the week’s recipes under Good Food & Recipes in the right column.
- Modify your contents to add additional items or to remove items you may already have – Got a steadily growing pile of fruit or maybe too much lettuce? Modify your box contents to omit items you may have too much of or add items you need. All substitutions are at no extra charge. Need a few more ingredients to complete a recipe? Add them to your order by shopping in our Green Grocery. In here you can find everything from meats, bread, cheese, eggs and milk to bananas, broccoli, olive oil and vinegar. All sourced from sustainable sources.
- Bring your box inside and place your ripe fruits and veggies into reusable storage bags – Don’t let your box sit outside longer than it has to. Bring it inside and put away your veggies and fruits as soon as possible. Clean, prep and store them properly to retain nutrients, freshness and quality. Don’t know what’s the best way to store those carrots? Click on Produce Storage Tips from your welcome page for all the answers.
- Prep your vegetables for the coming week – Some vegetables can be prepped ahead of time for the week’s meals saving you time and helping you to eat more nutritiously. Remove leaves from beets, wrap in tin foil and bake until tender and 350°F. Cool in the refrigerator. Next time you make a salad, peel and slice a beet into it or warm the beets with toasted walnuts and top with crumbly blue cheese for a delicious side dish. Slice carrots and celery into sticks for lunchtime snacks or make a quick coleslaw with cabbage, carrots and fennel, toss in vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Look for ‘do aheads’ to help you save time throughout the week!
Eating well and feeling good go hand in hand. By using these simple steps you can make the most out of your Full Circle order and resist the temptation to eat out—saving you money and keeping you healthy.
