California Dreaming – Our San Francisco Warehouse

As you know, we’re getting ready to start serving members in the greater San Francisco area. We’ve made some amazing partnerships with local Bay Area farmers and can’t wait to bring their organic produce to our growing member base. First step first, we’re moving into our new warehouse with great receiving and loading possibilities in sunny South San Francisco! We’ll keep you updated as construction progresses. You’ll watch it go from empty walls to packed boxes full of goodness.

There we are, just south of the city. Pretty sweet spot.

Our operations crew is ecstatic about the opportunity to have a covered loading area. That way when it rains we can keep our products and employes dry. Not that it rains as much as it does at our Kent warehouse, but it’s the thought that counts!

Having a grade level door that we can drive our forklifts out to the street is really critical. Often smaller farmers deliver in vehicles that do not line up with standard dock heights. Having the ability to load and unload directly from the street as well as from loading docks is crucial for our operations and allows the greatest flexibility when supporting smaller farmers and producers.

These are the doors our Full Circle trucks will use to load our members boxes to be delivered to your door!

Rather than buying all new equipment we shipped this refrigeration gear down from our former Seattle warehouse to get another life of use here in California. This will soon become a large walk in cooler and a separate walk in freezer.

All of the lighting that currently exists in the warehouse is being removed and replaced with high efficiency lights, just one of the many energy saving changes we’ll be making to ensure a sustainable and efficient production.
