As well as partnering with other farms, we collaborate with various producers of additional groceries. We choose only the best in taste, quality, and sustainability. Most groceries are certified organic, and all are the best in their field. From small Washington artisan cheeses to small-batch, roasted organic peanut butter, each product is chosen for its outstanding flavor and commitment to quality.
Bread, Pasta, and Grains
We chose breads, pastas, and grains that exemplify good health, sustainability, and quality. Our breads are made from organic whole grains by artisan bakers
at The Essential Baking Company and Macrina Bakery of Seattle. Likewise, our pasta is created with care and nutrition in mind. La Pasta, started by two young Italian-Americans here in Seattle, uses fresh ingredients from local Farmer’s Markets to create their delicious fresh pasta flavors, and Jovial Foods makes dry pastas with nutrient-rich Einkorn, an heirloom wheat strain that is as delicious as it is good for you.
Dairy and Eggs
Fresh Breeze Organic Dairy provides us with all of our milk and cream. They are unique among organic dairies in that they raise and pasture their 180 dairy cows from birth, grow all of their own organic feed on their
400 plus acres and bottle their milk products right on site. Organic Valley provides us with their pastured butter that has exceptional clarity and flavor and is high in Omega-3s, and Steibrs Farm provides our members with cage-free, organic eggs that are absolutely free from GMO feeds or pesticides.
Meat, Seafood, and Tofu
When it comes to high-quality meats, we turn no further than to our Washington farmers. Heritage Meats, located in Rochester, is an artisan butcher that specializes in organic, locally grown and
sustainable meat products. Skagit River Ranch, in Sedro Wolley, provides us with certified organic free-range poultry, and Surfin’ Seafood, located in Seattle, provides the freshest sustainably sourced seafood products around. Even our vegetarian members can be happy that their tofu, from Small Planet on Vashon Island, is local, sustainable and of the highest quality.
Pantry
We also carry a wide variety of pantry staples sourced with integrity. From Theo Chocolate in Seattle, we get IMO Fair for Life certified chocolate – the
highest level of fair-trade certification. Grounds for Change provides their organic and fair-trade certified coffee that supports small coffee growers in developing countries. We also carry a wide variety of Washington-made products – like Moon Valley Raw Honey, Sakuma Brothers Jams, CB’s Peanut Butter, and Boat Street Pickled Figs. You can be sure that each meets our exacting standards of excellence.
