Kazumi V has been providing destination services in Sillicon Valley since 2003, and assists assignees throughout the South Bay area. Originally from Japan (and of course speaking fluent Japanese), Kazumi has a unique perspective on the needs of international transferees, and she is able to bring to her work 15 years hands-on local experience as a mother of two. Kazumi is also a part-time professional graphic designer, a martial Arts enthusiast, a certified teacher of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, and loves to take her two sons hiking in the dramatic California countryside nearby. |


Once a home has been found, there are practical issues that need to be dealt with, and the destination consultant will be there to give:
• Advice and help with furniture rental and/or purchase.
• Information regarding appliances, computers and other electronic equipment, especially compatibility issues.
• Information/assistance setting up gas, electricity and water accounts.
• Information/assistance setting up telephone, internet and TV cable accounts.
• Information/assistance setting up household maintenance accounts (e.g. lawn care, security etc) and household insurance.
• Information/visits to local shops, services, health centers, libraries, places of worship.
• Information/visits to places of special interest to transferee and family - specialty sports centers, arts and musical activities, children's activities, volunteer opportunities for spouses, language schools, social clubs, local embassies, consulates etc., etc.
• Information/assistance on car-related issues.
