Riverdog Farm is a 450 acre certified organic, diversified family farm that grows vegetables, fruits, nuts, and raises chickens and pigs. Started by Trini Campbell and Tim Mueller and located in the beautiful Capay Valley, Riverdog uses a system of compost, crop rotation, cover cropping and hedgerow planting to keep the soil healthy and to promote a healthy ecosystem around our farm. Riverdog’s exceptionally tasty fruit and vegetables are owed in part to a combination of rich creek-bottom soil, intense summer heat, and winter frost.
As a child in Vietnam, Minh often took a morning stroll with his grandpa to the neighborhood tofu shack. The freshness and artisan-quality of the soymilk, tofu and yuba of his childhood eluded Minh for many years after he moved to the U.S. In 2004 he founded Hodo Soy with the simple mission of crafting the highest quality, best-tasting, freshest soy milk, tofu, and yuba (tofu skins) possible. “Hodo,” a fictitious word that literally translates to “good bean,” is the philosophy of his company: good beans + other good ingredients + good treatment of the land where the beans and ingredients come from + good people + good treatment of people through benefits and on-going training + good community member = Hodo.
