Marin Cheese Company was founded by Reno Rossi and his uncle Ralph Salvemini in 1982. Having both worked for the trendsetting Monterey Cheese Company, the two had learned the foundational principles of quality, service and price. From their humble beginnings with one truck and no office, the company quickly grew, purchased a small warehouse and hired a delivery driver.
