Tahoe Artesian Water was founded in 2018 by two friends who grew up separate continents, but both has been taught to seek out water sources, and when they met in Tahoe, they realized they shared a passion for drinking local, natural water. They launched the Tahoe Artesian as a grassroots effort to reconnect people with the practice of drinking single-source water, something they felt had been lost in an industry focused on mass volume and convenience.

They launched the Tahoe Artesian as a grassroots effort to reconnect people with the practice of drinking single-source water, something they felt had been lost in an industry focused on mass volume and convenience.
The water comes from an aquifer hundreds of feet below the Sierra Nevada Mountains, filtered through layers of rock and earth over the course of a century. It rises to the surface naturally under its own pressure, replenished seasonally by rain and snowfall. For them, this is about stewardship of the source and rebuilding a connection to an understanding of where their water comes from and why that matters.
