About the producer
In the late 1980s, Larry and Carol Umbarger began growing flowers, and then ornamental and culinary herbs to help with college expenses for their children. This led to discovering a market for California pepper berries, which ultimately connected them to upscale retailers and consumer interest in unique holiday wreaths. The business has grown and Larry and Carol’s three sons and daughter-in-law now manage Creekside Farms, with significant contributions coming from very long time and committed employees. They produce a full line of natural artisanal wreaths and garlands, all still handmade in Greenfield, CA.
