About the producer
When Ulash and Negaar arrived in California, they brought three generations of deep knowledge with them; the Turkhan family had worked with nuts in Türkiye, understanding every aspect from cultivation to processing. In 2020, restless curiosity led them to launch Octonuts. The octopus became their unlikely mascot because, like these intelligent creatures, the couple never stopped learning and adapting. Nut farming, they realized, required the same flexibility and resourcefulness as an octopus navigating ocean currents.
Ulash and Negaar found themselves rethinking every step of their process, from how they treated the soil to how they handled the final product. Their multi-generational expertise gave them the foundation, but their constant exploration drove them to create something entirely new.
