In 1978, Cameron Healy's adventurous spirit and a beat-up van led him to bring simple, high-quality snacks to his community by selling them directly from his mobile storefront. His bold approach to natural food distribution laid the foundation for what would become Kettle Brand and its signature potato chips. Working with small West Coast distributors and natural food stores, Cameron built Kettle on the principle of going the extra mile. He insisted on using whole potatoes cut extra thick and hand-cooking them in small batches, maintaining this artisanal approach even as the operation grew.
