Made from hand-marbled mill-end cotton with a raw silk backing and filled with organic flaxseed and lavender. You can heat for 30 seconds in a microwave for comfort or chill in the freezer for a lovely cooling effect.
Love Mert products are all made by hand in their studio in Lake Taho. Each heart is one of a kind. Your eye pillow will follow this color story, but will have its own unique marbling. Not certified organic.
About the producer
Melissa Michelsen launched Love Mert in 2000, two decades before sustainable fashion gained widespread attention. Her products draw from her background — collecting glass marbles at flea markets as a child, building elaborate forts in the forests of Vermont, dabbling in painting, pottery and weaving.
From a studio in Lake Tahoe, Calif., Melissa makes her products by hand using vintage leather from thrift stores, scrap material from other productions, and repurposed denim. A lot of her work involves hand-marbled fabric, which she creates in large panels on organic cotton, mill-end canvas, and hemp linen.
