About the producer
Michelle Galletta founded Kiriki Press after struggling to find an embroidery pattern for a doll she wanted to make for her niece. Michelle, who is a printmaking graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design, couldn't find patterns that matched what she had in mind, so she designed her own and taught herself to embroider three owl dolls. She spent several years refining her embroidery skills and design approach before launching Kiriki Press in December 2012. The Toronto-based company has since expanded its collection of DIY products to give others the opportunity to create handmade objects themselves.
