Whitney started Decker Rd. Seeds in 2012, turning her gardening and landscaping hobby (and her experience at a seed company) into her own specialty garden shop. At the beginning, she offered a very small number of flower, herb, and veggie seeds. Now they specialize in a larger variety of individual flower and herb varieties, as well as wildflower mixes for all planting scenarios. They lean toward low-maintenance, drought-tolerant varieties, and love pollinator-friendly plants. They also like native plants, long-blooming varieties, sun lovers and low-maintenance lawn alternatives. Some of the seeds are grown and harvested on her little 4-acre plot in Philomath, Oregon. Others are collected from a handful of farms in the Willamette Valley, and some unique varieties are harvested from high desert ranches of Colorado. All are non-GMO, and many are organic.
