About the producer
Chris Dennis was five years old when his family adopted a dog named Lummox. The dog stuck, and so did the habit of giving back to the shelter he came from. For years that meant donations when he and his wife could manage them. Then Chris spent sixteen years in the premium pet food industry and noticed that shelters need a steady supply of healthy treats to train dogs for adoption, and plenty of dog owners would happily buy a good treat if it meant helping a shelter. GivePet was created out of that collective feeling.
The company's name is signed off by Fern and Adela, two rescues Chirs adopted in 2010 and 2012, who are presumably the real decision makers.
