This raw sharp cheddar cheese is a little milder than some sharps out there, but it is indeed delicious. The first bite will make you crave a grilled cheese sandwich, and definitely have you coming back for more. Made from the milk of grassfed cows on sustainable small family farms. Not certified organic.
About the producer
Sierra Nevada Cheese Company was founded in 1997 by Ben Gregersen and John Dundon. Their mission is to provide customers with the highest quality products using only the most wholesome milk. Ben and John discovered they had a common interest in making artisan cheeses using traditional methods while working together at the Gregersen's family creamery. Their products are free of added hormones, preservatives, stabilizers, gums, and contain nothing artificial, - just great cheese. In 2003, the company’s successful growth allowed them to open their own creamery 100 miles north of Sacramento in Willows, California, where they are located today. Ben and John are both hands-on owners and operators of Sierra Nevada Cheese Company.
