Roasted Brussels Sprouts With Garlic

Simply roasted Brussels sprouts and garlic become caramelized and sweetened with just a little balsamic.

INGREDIENTS

12-14 (1 pound) Brussels sprouts, trim the bottom root and sliced in half

¼ cup olive oil

½ teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

5-6 cloves garlic, peeled

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 

Trim the bottom of the Brussels sprouts and slice each in half (top to bottom). 

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Lay the Brussels sprouts, cut side down, in one layer in the skillet.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Cook, until sprouts begin to brown on bottom, about 2 minutes. Add in the garlic cloves and a little more oil if needed. Toss to coat. 

Place skillet in the oven and roast, stirring every 5 minutes, until sprouts are browned and tender, about 10-20 minutes. Drizzle with balsamic the last minute of cooking. 

Taste, and add more salt and pepper if necessary. 

Serve and enjoy!
