Peach Sorbet

There is nothing like a sweet, juicy peach in the hot summer months. A simple and delicious frozen treat made with fresh ingredients that your whole family will love.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon lemon zest

2 tablespoons lemon juice

4-6 medium ripe peaches (any variety), peeled and sliced

 

INSTRUCTIONS

In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, lemon zest and juice. Cook over medium-heat until sugar is dissolved, about 1-2 minutes. Cool slightly then pour into a blender or food processor. 

Add in the peaches and process until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.

Pour mixture onto a clean sheet pan. Freeze until solid (about 2 hours or longer, or freeze the mixture in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions). Once frozen, break apart, mix in a food processor in batches until smooth, then pour into a covered container that you can freeze. Freeze until ready to serve. 

Serve with peach slices and a sprig of mint.
