Mayor Visits Full Circle’s Kent Warehouse
Last week Kent’s mayor, Suzette Cooke, came by our Kent distribution center to take a look at our packing operations.
Donning the required hairnet, Suzette and Kent Economic Development Specialist Josh Hall got the grand tour from our Seattle Warehouse Manager Jason Beaulieu.
Here’s where it all begins. Empty boxes just waiting to get filled with Full Circle produce and goods. This line is a huge improvement over our last warehouse, with even a little room to grow. Soon we’ll be refrigerating this entire packing line to maintain a consistent cold chain and keep your fruits and veggies cool and fresh!
Like a proud father, founder and CEO Andrew Stout watches as good food gets packed and shipped to our members. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come.
Here the empty boxes get filled with certified organic produce and artisan groceries for our awesome members. Each order is packed per member specifications to the lively sound of Mariachi music!
Full Circle employee Thla Thang adds a strip of tape and on the pallet it goes.
Like a delicious puzzle, each box is packed, taped and loaded on a pallet in order of delivery. They’re then wrapped tight and put in the trucks for the drivers to drop off.
What visit by the mayor would be complete without the handshake photo? Mayor Cooke was happy to oblige. And she loved that we chose Kent as the home of our Pacific Northwest operations.
She was even happier with her own Full Circle box full of delicious farm grown, certified organic produce! We even included a celery root bulb, which is bound to be her new favorite!
