The planning for Firefly Kitchens began in 2009. Julie O’Brien and Richard Climenhage (co-owners) wanted to create foods that were healthy, nutrient dense and tasted great. One year later, the company was formed with a focus on naturally fermented foods. Through fermentation, various foods unlock even more nutrients and create living enzymes, making them more available for digestion and absorption by the body.
