Cucumber-Berry Every-Morning Detox

This smoothie is a good way to start your morning, as well as a good source of many cleansing foods and nutrients. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup cooked beets, diced (roast or steam a few beets at the beginning of each week)

2 stalks fresh kale, leaves removed from the stem

1/2 cup frozen blueberries (or other berries of your choice)

5 slices of fresh cucumber

1 small handful of fresh parsley

1 cup coconut water (or coconut milk if you like a creamier texture)

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Place all ingredients in a blender with a handful or two of ice, and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
