Halloween Blood Orange Margarita

What’s a parent to do when the kiddos are out trick-or-treating on Halloween? This spoooooky cocktail is the perfect party favor. The Black Hawaiian Sea Salt used to coat the rims of the glasses will intrigue the eyes and the tastebuds!

INGREDIENTS

Sweet and Sour Mix:

3 cups water

3 cups sugar

2 cups fresh lemon juice

2 cups fresh lime juice

Margarita Ingredients

Black Hawaiian Sea Salt

1 1/2 ounces silver tequila

3/4 ounce Cointreau Orange Liqueur

1 ounce blood orange juice

1/2 ounce sweet and sour mix

 

INSTRUCTIONS

For the Sweet and Sour Mix: Combine the water and sugar in large saucepan over medium heat; stirring until sugar dissolves. Bring to boil, then remove from heat and let cool. Mix the syrup, lemon juice and lime juice in pitcher and chill. Mixture will keep for about one week chilled. For the Margarita: Prepare glasses by wetting the rims lightly, and dipping in black sea salt. In a cocktail shaker combine the tequila, Cointreau, blood orange juice, and sweet and sour mix over ice. Shake well, then strain into glasses. Try not to get scared while drinking.
