Spiced Nuts with Sage

You've got to try these addicting Spiced Nuts with Sage. They're easy to make and even easier to eat! Feel free to mix in any of your favorite nuts or even pumpkin seeds. (Recipe adapted from Ellie Krieger).

SERVING SIZE

makes 2 cups

INGREDIENTS

1 teaspoon fresh sage, minced

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon curry powder

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1/2 cup pecans

1/2 cup pistachios

1/2 cup walnuts

1/2 cup almonds

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Note: all nuts except for the pistachios are unroasted, unsalted and shelled. Shell any nut where needed.

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine the nuts in a medium bowl. Drizzle the maple syrup over the top and add in the spices and salt. Toss to combine.

Using a silicone-lined baking sheet or greased baking sheet, spread the nuts out into a thin layer. Roast for 15-20 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the nuts are lightly toasted.
