Perfect to drizzle over ice cream or pancakes, or even use in a smoothie or a cocktail. It's a versatile sweet, tart and tangy addition to any recipe.

SERVING SIZE

makes 1 1/2 cups syrup

INGREDIENTS

Gravenstein apple juice, (32-oz bottle)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 cup raw sugar or maple sugar

 

INSTRUCTIONS

To make the apple syrup:

Pour the entire bottle of apple juice into a medium saucepan along with the lemon juice and sugar. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to medium and continue to simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, until the temperature reaches 220 degrees F.
